The Singapore Volunteer Corps or the Singapore Special Constabulary, was a militia unit established in 1854 as the Singapore Volunteer Rifle Corps. The Corps underwent several reorganizations and was known by various names throughout its history. It was renamed the People's Defense Force, the predecessor of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) in 1965.

The Corps was involved in the defense of Singapore during WWII.
